General Information

The Institute of Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in Warsaw, University of Warsaw, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland are organizing a three-day Workshop on Biomolecules and Nanostructures - Bedlewo 3. The Workshop will be organized under the auspices of the National Multidisciplinary Laboratory of Functional Nanomaterials – NanoFun, financed by Innovative Economy Operational Programme, Priority Axis 2: R&D Infrastructure, Action 2.2: Support of Formation of Common Research Infrastructure of Scientific Units. The Workshop is also a conference of the Division of Physics in Life Science of the European Physical Society

The dates are September 4 (Sunday evening) - September 8 (Thursday morning) 2011.

The Workshop will take place in a renovated palace of Będlewo near Poznań, on the way between Warsaw and Berlin. You can have a look at www.impan.pl/EN/Bedlewo/index.html. This is a conference center of the Institute of Mathematics of the PAS. It offers all relevant facilities, including the Internet, a nearby park and a lake. The place houses about 140 participants. A train ride from Warsaw to Poznań or Berlin takes about 2.5 hours. There is also an airport in Poznań. The website of Bedlewo provides information about how to get to the conference center.
